Hello! My name is Katie, and I am a basket maker living near Kingston. I’ve recently begun exploring traditional baskets of Pennsylvania, where I was born, and came across coiled rye straw basketry. This is a bit of a strange request, but I was looking for someone local growing rye and came across your website. I’m wondering if you would be open to me visiting your farm and harvesting a little bit of rye to make a basket. It wouldn’t be much material, maybe an armful. I am very happy to pay for it. And I think it would be valuable for me to come and at least see it growing in person if possible. I’m not sure historically when it was harvested for basketry, or if it would still be usable after being processed into bales- but maybe it would! I’m also not sure when the planting/harvesting season is for you all. Hopefully I will be able to plant some of my own next year, but I would love to make a basket with it sooner!
Anyway, if you would be open to this please let me know : ) thanks so much!

Does your magazine use cartoons about farming?
If not, would you be interested in publishing cartoons if I paid you to run them? These would be sponsored cartoons and I would find large companies to foot the bill.
If this idea does interest you, may I ask what your circulation is and about how much you would expect to be paid to run cartoons?
I’ve been a cartoonist for over 50 years and my work has appeared in hundreds of publications. If you’d like to see samples of my work you can see it at my website:

I would like to inquire about a job working at Wagon Wheel Farm. I was curious what kind of things you grow, as well as what an average shift would look like. I am a recent SUNY Plattsburgh graduate with a passion for the environment, sustainability, and growing my own produce. Please feel free to contact me by any means, as I would love to hear back from you and learn a little more about your farm!

Hey, have you all had a forage analysis done on your hay? I'm particularly interested in first and second cut. If not, do you know anyone locally who has the equipment for taking a sample?

Hi - is it possible that we (a family of four) can visit the farm to see hay making in summer? Can a private tour be scheduled? Our 4-year-old son is very interested in hay making. We live an hour away from the farm so any weekend in the summer will work. Thank you.

Good morning my name is Tony and I live in Montgomery. I often pass your farm going to the ukrainian church and cemetery. I am looking for a place to Rabbit hunt. From the road I see lots of brush and hedgerows on your farm. I am only looking to go one day a winter in either Jan or Feb as long as there isn't to much snow. Nothing illegal no littering I promise I practice safety. I do lots of gardening and we try to eat only fresh meat in my family. I make homemade wine tomato sauce and jarred peppers. I would be glad to introduce myself and bring you something. Thank you for your time. I hope you hear from someone. You can either email or text or call me. Thank you

I was looking on indeed and found your want ad for a farmworker. While I am hardworking and a quick study, I'm a complete novice. For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about agriculture but have yet been able to get my foot in the door. I fully understand if my lack of experience would make me an ill fit for the position and, therefore, not considered a candidate. However, I would appreciate any advice you could provide to obtain the necessary skills to be a more appealing potential employee. Thank you for your time and consideration.
I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you!

I bought what was supposed to be quality horse second cut hay from you for $7 a bale. Don't know if you have me the wrong hay or not???? But this stuff is terrible! All weeds, thorns, and no one will touch it even my neibors goats or cows that usually eat anything. I don't know about you, but that's alot of money for me to throw away.
